Sharyon, Yigal


Son of Yechiel and Yona. He was born on the 18th of Sivan, June 25, 1948, in Tel Aviv. When he reached school age, he attended the elementary school, “Yardain”. During his spare time, he liked to engage in various artistic works, in ceramics and mosaics. He also did welding works of figurines, and all kinds of jars and pictures. He was drafted into the Artillery Corps, in May 1966. He was a good friend and devoted brother. He did not aspire to stand out, and always took into account the good of the other. For a few hours of vacation, he would jump first to shop for his mother, and ask how he could help her. On the 9th of Nissan, March 28, 1969, on the Tzemach Beit Shean road, near Kibbutz Gesher, he died in the course of his duties. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
