Sharoni, Dan
Dan, son of Yehudit and Kurt, was born on March 9, 1942, in Haifa. Dan was drafted into the IDF in early 1960. He was assigned to the Communications and Electronics Corps, and completed a course in communications. During the Yom Kippur War, Dan was an officer in the Southern Command area. He worked day and night tirelessly to provide operational contact to the fighting units on the fronts. On the 21st of Tishrei 5734 (17.10.1973) he was hurt in battle and Dan died at the hospital in Be’er Sheva. He was brought to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery. He left behind a wife, son and daughter, parents, sister and brother.
