Sharon, Moti (Mordechai)

Ben Esther and my son. He was born on January 25, 1963. In Haifa, his first five years were spent in the German Colony in Haifa, and after that the family moved to Kiryat Bialik, where Moti began his elementary studies at the Habonim School. Haifa, Ahuza neighborhood, and Moti moved to the Ehud School and quickly became part of his new class, continuing his studies in the junior high school of Ironi H. Moti graduated with honors in high school in the ” In Persia. In addition to his studies, he was an avid activist in the Scouts movement, in the Tsofit tribe. From an early age, he demonstrated leadership and charisma. He served for several years as a guide and later as a young tribe center. Moti was loved and accepted by his friends, apprentices and his surroundings. Between his hard studies in high school and his extensive activity in the movement he found time to volunteer twice a week as a young medic in Magen David Adom. Here, too, he invested most of his efforts and did his work faithfully and thoroughly. At the end of his high school studies, he vacillated between the academic reserve and the pilots’ course, and finally chose his studies. At the end of October 1981, he was drafted into the IDF, where he completed a basic training course and completed it as an outstanding company apprentice. In June 1982, with the outbreak of the Peace-Galilee War, he stopped his studies and volunteered for an aviation course. He finished the course as a pilot in a helicopter unit. In 1986 he married Ruthie, his girlfriend for six and a half years. Upon their marriage they moved to the Tel Nof base. Moti won the esteem of his commanders and fellow pilots personally and professionally. In August 1988, his son was born with me. Moti, who was a wonderful husband, was a devoted father and cared for his son with great love. On the 29th of Tevet 5749 (29.12.1988) he embarked on a prestigious mission to lay a border stone on the Israel-Egypt border. During the mission there was a technical failure in the helicopter and Motti fell while carrying out his duties. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. He left behind a wife, son, parents, brother Dror and sister Rivi.
