Sharon, Daniel (Danny)
Son of Emanuel and Paula. Born in Bucharest, Romania on the 5th of Adar 2, March 16, 1948. The family immigrated to Israel in 1951. When Daniel reached school age, he studied at the David Yellin Elementary School in Haifa, and after completing his elementary studies, he entered the school of the “professional” approach to the industry-tools trend. He was an athlete, and belonged to the Hapoel sports organization (a karate learning group). He enjoyed artistic painting, and was also involved in diving and underwater fishing. In July 1967, he was drafted into the Israel Air Force, and was a good apprentice, who stood out for his talents. He was loved by his friends. He fell, as a fallen pilot, on the 8th of Sivan, June 4, 1968. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. The commander of the squadron wrote a letter of condolence to Danny’s parents, on his behalf and on behalf of his comrades and commanders: “Protecting the skies of our country is a difficult and vital task, and requires sacrifices … I know how much effort the volunteers must bear. We continue in the same way and hope that this will be a respect for the fallen. ” The Institute of Science and Astronomy was named after him by his father.
