Sharabi, Yaakov


Son of Levana Tamar and Yehuda, was born on 15.6.1913 in Yemen and on 17.9.1935 he immigrated to Israel and settled in Jerusalem, During the Second World War, he was active in “Hagah”. From the beginning of the War of Independence, he was recruited for guarding and served in all the dangerous systems in Jerusalem. He recently practiced sniping and is considered one of the best snipers in town. When the fortification of the Arab Legion to the city was intensified, the need for fortifications was removed from the position of sniping and transferred to the Solel Boneh Company, which worked in fortifications in Notre Dame. Where he was hit by shrapnel and fell on Monday, June 9, 1948. He was buried in the Sheik-Bader Aleph in Jerusalem on September 10, 1950. He was transferred to the military cemetery at Har Herzl in Jerusalem.
