Sharabi, Rahamim (“Rami”)

Sharabi, Rahamim (“Rami”)

Son of Yefet and Leah. He was born on the 11th of Elul 5613 (22.7.1953) in Rehovot. He attended the “Sinai” elementary school in Rehovot, the “Yeshivat HaDarom” high school and the Air Force Technical School in Haifa. He was a member of the “HaPoel” association and played for the Hapoel soccer team from Marmorek. He was gentle and careful not to hurt others. All he did, he did slowly, for he had plenty of spare time and he liked to do his work carefully and thoroughly. He was closed by nature and never told others about his pain, what was bothering him and what he lacked. Was loved by all his friends, and from the day of his death his friends stopped celebrating joy and joy because he was always the organizer for these reasons. In mid-November 1971, Rahamim was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces and assigned to the Artillery Corps, but he served only about six months, on the day of 19 Iyar 5732 (3.5.1972), died of an illness that suddenly struck him during his service. His death was written by his educator: “Simcha is the educator, who is privileged to raise a generation of upright men and to educate good sons of the people and the homeland; This is his satisfaction and this is his lot. For pity, I had much more. I had great pleasure in being his mentor for four years. He was an excellent student in all subjects, but more than that he stood out for his nobility and manner. He would say peace of mind, loved by all his friends and active in the social life of the school. The love of his friends to him came to no avail, because his help was at all times available to all those who needed it – out of patience, emotion and wisdom. There was a smile on his face. It is hard to remember when he was angry and when he had to use harsh words about him. His attitude towards his teachers was a respectful one, which he kept very carefully even after he completed his studies. “
