Sharabi, Itai

Sharabi, Itai

Ben Lilly and Ilan. He was born on January 15, 1987 in Holon, where he grew up and was educated. Brother to Jordan and Jordan. He studied at Bialik Elementary School, junior high school “Golda Meir” and at the six-year comprehensive Kugel High School. Itai was a naughty boy, kind and full of joy. His eyes always expressed happiness, joy, and jerks. He had a smile that never left his face. Laughing and funny, taking everything easy and making everything simple and possible. Itai loved music, parties, trips and soccer – and the Maccabi Haifa team at the top. His great love was to the beach, and at every opportunity he was given he spent there and surfaced. One of his hobbies was photography; Everywhere he went, his camera accompanied him. He filmed and recorded every moment and left many pictures and videos. Itai, who was surrounded by friends, organized and organized parties, was the living spirit, and always at the center of things. He never refused a request for help, was easily liked, was a light and optimistic type. In the army, as in civilian life, he liked the action and the challenges with me, so it was important for him to serve in a combat unit. He fought to raise his profile despite his health limitations, and aspired to be a combat soldier who served in the IDF in December 2005. He joined the IDF and joined the Israel Air Force’s anti-aircraft unit, “The sky is the limit and the way is Derech Eretz.” After basic training he underwent training with me and at the end was stationed as a combat soldier in the Stinger and Nagman missile unit. “Put in the Ram Battalion, the battery of” Orb “. For ten months he served all along the northern border – from Liman, through Rosh Hanikra, to other settlements. He then went on to a course for trainees, and at the end of the course he moved with the battalion to operational employment in the territories. Itai liked to go to combat operations, ambushes, arrests and patrols. Military service for Itai was a period of prosperity and self-fulfillment. Itai loved to go out for any operational activity. Since he was always professional, resourceful and in quick response, his commanders and his colleagues wanted him to be assigned to them when he went to work in the territories. As part of the battalion’s activity, he participated with me in the Second Lebanon War and showed determination, enthusiasm and devotion to the cause. Itai did all the tasks required of him in the best possible way while avoiding the use of exemptions in his possession, and above all his interests – the good of the battalion and his teammates. Itai was loved by all his comrades in the battalion. Therefore, as part of the program that was broadcast on Army Radio, “Mother’s Voice,” he was chosen by his commander as an outstanding soldier and received a family weekend at the Dan Hotel, and when he returned home from the base he did not rest with me for a moment. When he arrived, the house was full of life, music and action, and he took full advantage of natural vacations, clubs and trips around the country, hoping that the army would serve as a lever for personal and professional development. He fell ill during his service on the 16th of Elul 5767 (August 30, 2007) and he is twenty and a half years old. Was buried in the military cemetery in Holon and left behind parents and two sisters: “Itai, our beloved child, for twenty years we have seen how you turn from a naughty boy to a strong man, a fighter in the army, a real fighter. It’s hard to believe you’re not with us anymore, that you’ll never come home again. You can not be mentioned without your eyes filling with tears and without feeling the suffocation in your throat. With every passing day the pain, the grief and the longing only intensify, the great space that your absence leaves is enormous. All that is now possible is to fulfill your will to remember and not to forget. “Itai is our fighter, we will love and we will never forget the smile, the laughter and the look.” The letter of condolences to the bereaved family was written by the Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi: “The commanders of Itai said that he was a respected and leading soldier, who was a social focus for the unit’s fighters, and was described as a man with a desire to serve a significant service as a fighter who showed determination to advance in the command line. The commander of the Israel Air Force, Major General Eliezer Shkedi, wrote: “Itai served as a combat soldier in the Ram Battalion, and was distinguished for his sensitivity to those around him and for being an exemplary fighter and friend.” Lieutenant Colonel Eyal Gross, commander of the unit with whom he served, wrote: “Itai served as a combat soldier in the AA battery in the anti-aircraft battalion Ram, and stood out throughout his service as a soldier and a motivated and beloved fighter. He illuminated his surroundings with his broad smile, even in complex and prolonged operational activity, during the Second Lebanon War and in training. We will miss all of us, his innumerable commanders and friends, the warmth he radiated with me and the joy he brought us in his life. The determination he displayed in his choice of combat service attests to the education he received at home, and we are full of appreciation and thanks for that. We will never forget Itai and his special way. “Itai’s teacher, Lia Sela, wrote:” I raised Itai and I was his teacher of literature for two years at Kugel High School in Holon. Itai was a happy child, with a smile of kindness on his face and a willingness to help. He loved a girlfriend and I always saw him surrounded by students who wanted to be with him. Even when he was involved in mischief, it was without evil and without wanting to hurt the other – only out of a desire to have fun and nice around. In 2005, we went out for an annual trip to the Golan Heights. Itai went on all the walks, and in the evening he was very involved in social activities, dancing, and the main thing was to be happy. His death at such an early age ‘does not fit with me’ with the character of Itai who loved life and the people around him with power and goodness. “This is the most beautiful and sad landscape in the world. For in this place the little prince appeared on the face of the earth, and from here he disappeared. Look at this beautiful landscape for easy recognition. If you go out on a desert trip one day, if you come to this place, please do not rush to continue: wait a little while under that star! And if a child appears before you, whose face is worn out and does not answer questions, and you know correctly who this miraculous child is, and then do kindness to me so that my sorrow will be relieved and relieved: Write to me immediately that the little prince has returned to us “(Antoine de Saint Exupery, ‘). His friends wrote to the service: “For a year and a half we had the pleasure of being with you, a charming person whose outstanding feature is the unceasing smile. Even now, when we think of you, your smiling face rises. From the start you could see that you were a special person. They say that every human being has a role. It seems that your job was to show that in every situation you can be strong and enjoy those who love you so strongly that you did not let us feel your pain … You did not want to make others feel bad for you because you loved them all, , To symbolize and express the value of evil. ‘I love you all, do not forget me …’ These were your last words to the people closest to you. … It’s hard to believe, it’s hard to believe that you do not stand between us today, the best of our people. You have reached the better world with an angelic title, and we will miss your glamorous smile forever. FamilyHa, friends, comrades-in-arms – we will all cherish every memory that illuminated our faces. You were always happy with the principles of justice, you were like a brother to all of us, the friend who will be there in times of trouble, encouraged in times of crisis, never say no to a person in need of help. Today you have become an angel in our world for an angel in the world to come … ‘… a hero of the world a child, with a smile of angels …’ “
