Son of Moshe and Chaya. He was born on January 2, 1954 in Hadera. He completed his elementary studies at the Arlozorov School in Hadera, continued his high school studies and graduated with a real-time track in the city’s high school. He was a good student, diligent and diligent. Socially he was one of the school’s main students. Yoav loved music and played the piano, the organ and the accordion. In 1971 he was accompanied as an accompanist to the accordion, to a youth delegation that traveled to Europe. Yes, he was a member of an orchestral band playing pop music. He was also blessed with a talent for craftsmanship, liked to work in carpentry and built furniture for his home, for the pleasure and joy of his wife and parents. In addition, he was an excellent athlete and was mainly involved in swimming and walking. He liked to travel and much to participate in marches. In his youth he was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed movement in Hadera. During which she underwent a course for counselors and served as a guide for the young apprentices. In addition, he underwent a first aid course and assisted with MDA Hadera. He was a firefighter and volunteered in fire department. Yoav was drafted into the Israel Air Force in August 1972. He successfully completed the course and was certified as a pilot in the Israel Air Force in 1974. In December 1974, he married a wife and asked to establish a home and family. In August 1975, he took a pilot training course, became a flight instructor and excelled in the field of training: he was a good pilot, dedicated, loyal and responsible, and he did everything he was asked to do with his precision and dedication. And many owe him thanks for the help he gave them with advice and action, and in his family he was a model husband and a loving and caring father, In his free time for his wife and his little daughter, he gave them love and warmth, and on the 14th of Adar 5739 (March 12, 1979) Yoav was taken to the eternal burial place of the military cemetery in Hadera and left behind a wife, daughter, parents and two brothers. The bereaved wrote his commander: “Yoav stood out in his courage with his great devotion, his integrity, his clean hands and the good spirit with which he always acted.
