Shapira, Aizik (“Azi”)

Son of Tuvia and Leah. He was born on December 21, 1946 in Atlit. He acquired his elementary education in Afikim and later attended high school in Beit Yerah. Has great talent for painting. He had a sense of humor and music was his favorite. He belonged to the “Ichud” youth brigade. In August 1965, he was drafted into the IDF and volunteered for the Paratroopers Brigade, and before he completed his regular service, he passed away on September 8, 1966, and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery of Kibbutz Afikim in memory of Uri Milstein, “Afikim Farm published a booklet in his memory.
