Shank, Raphael (Rudy)

Was born in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, on August 30, 1930. His family immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1933. He began his studies in Jerusalem and continued in Kfar Saba where the family moved in. Rudy was active in the ” Hanoar Haoved “youth movement, where he underwent military training, first in the village of Hittin and later in Kibbutz Shefayim, where he spent three months, on February 8, 1948, when Raphael was on his way to Shfayim, World at the military cemetery in Kfar Sava at a military ceremony.
