Shamir, Talia (Tali)


Bat Hava and Aminadav, was born on May 5, 1959, in Tel Aviv. Tali attended the Yavneh Elementary School and the Tel Aviv Municipal High School in Tel Aviv. She graduated from high school in the humanitarian track. Tali was a gentle and sensitive child, a favorite of children and adults and a good student. She loved poetry, and she herself wrote poems. She intended to continue, after military service, to study at the university in the literature program. Tali was recruited to the IDF in September 1977 and was appointed as a clerk in the Absentee Unit, where Tali aspired to take a professional course and receive a responsible position, and all the qualifications were in her hands. In the Sinai, and although she did not enjoy it, she fulfilled her duty with all her devotion and the satisfaction of her commanders. on the 18th of Tishrei (October 18, 1979) Tali was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, leaving behind her parents and sister.
