Shamian, Chaim


Son of Rabbi and Rivka. He was born in 1953 in Teheran in 1953. His family decided to immigrate to Israel following a wave of persecution against Jews there, and from the very early age Haim was a lively and intelligent child and could read when he was three and a half years old. He was very active in the field of sports at the school and was awarded medals of gold and silver, and Haim was a favorite boy and accepted by his friends, Who was able to help others at any time, and was drafted into the IDF in August 1971 and volunteered for the naval commando unit. He spent a year and three months serving in the Israel Defense Forces, and in a short time he took a long road, which required great effort and willingness, in which he stood up for his volunteer spirit. Chaim was a symbol and example of a son of a family of immigrants, who progressed on his own, became involved in life in the country, loved his homeland, even though he was not born there, and wanted to give her everything he could on 21 October 1972. He died He was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul
