Shamesyan, Abraham


Son of Shlomo and Balfouriya. Born in 1956 in Tehran, Iran, he immigrated to Israel with his family in 1961. Avraham studied at the Bar-Ilan religious elementary school in Kfar Sava and continued at the ORT vocational high school, and two years later went to the technical school in Haifa and completed successfully He was a good and talented student with a quick grasp, he stood out in his class and used to do homework for the students in the class who had difficulty in their studies, Who lived in Kfar Sava and later became a guide in the nest, he loved literature and read books, and his friends remember him as a boy Cat, humble and kind. Abraham was drafted into the IDF in February 1974 and was placed in the Signal Corps. After basic training, he went with Golani soldiers, took various professional courses and was sent to a unit of the Signal Corps in Sinai. Throughout his service, Avraham asked to move to serve in the Golani Brigade, but his request was not given to him. He liked the soldiers and commanders of the unit and fulfilled his duties with great responsibility and dedication. On the 17th of Av 5734 (July 26, 1974) Avraham fell while serving in the Sinai, was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kfar Sava and left behind his parents and five brothers and sisters.
