Shaltzar, Shlomo
He was born on June 6, 1915 in the city of Schweimport, Germany, to a traditional family. In 1934, he immigrated to Eretz Israel and joined the Kibbutz Ayelet HaShachar in the Upper Galilee. During the bloody riots of 1936-1939, he also served as a guard. After the outbreak of World War II, he enlisted in the British army, took part in the battles of El Alamein, was seriously injured in his hand but overcame his disabilities. Shlomo excelled in his ability and courage, and was praised by his commanders. At the beginning of September 1943, while serving in Italy, a military car hit him and both his legs and one arm were broken. He spent a long time in a military hospital abroad and in Israel, and after his discharge from service, despite his will, he returned to his kibbutz and worked as an electrician at the end of August 1944. However, his mental powers were not enough for him to accept his disability and he ended his life on the 23rd of Tevet 5705 (8.1.1945). He was laid to rest at Kibbutz Ayelet Hashachar. He left a wife.
