Son of Meir and Sarah. He was born on 15 July 1958 in Jerusalem. He completed his elementary studies at the Henrietta Szold School in Jerusalem and then moved to the “Beit Chinuch” high school in the city, where he completed his high school studies in a biological track, and was a good student, diligent and diligent. Yuval was an enthusiastic athlete and spent his free time playing basketball, playing basketball, and then playing for the Hapoel Jerusalem youth team, where he invested most of his energy and time in training and competitions. He has also been involved in theoretical study of basketball, and has read many books in this field When he was a professional photographer and collected articles and photographs on large actors, Yuval was also a swimmer and at the age of 10. He was sent by the municipality and his school abroad for the purpose of explaining and doing in Germany and Denmark for a month. Sixteen years old, a little older than his peers but always rebellious and aspiring to be independent. Is serious about learning and wants to get to the bottom of things. Active in class discussions and company classes. Yuval was recruited into the IDF in early 1976 and volunteered to serve in the Shaked commando unit. After completing basic training, he completed a parachuting course, an APC course followed by a reconnaissance course, and became a first-rate combat soldier in the Israel Defense Forces. He fulfilled the duties assigned to him with precision. He was a good friend and a devoted evil, was desirable and acceptable to his comrades in the unit. And they loved him as a brother. He always felt to help others in deed and advice. He had never been partial, and everyone knew that Yuval could always be trusted. Together with his comrades, he took part in the Litani operation and felt what he was fighting on the battlefield. At the beginning of 1978, it was decided to dismantle the reconnaissance unit and deploy its soldiers in the IDF’s various units, and Yuval was very saddened when he heard about it, but his sadness passed when he learned that he had been stationed with most of his colleagues in the Intelligence Corps. On August 1, 1978, Yovel fell in the line of duty. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Survived by his parents, brother and sister. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “Yuval was a member of an elite unit, one of the best fighters in it, and Yuval was an excellent fighter, a quiet, modest man with a shy and handsome smile. “After his hard and arduous training, only the excellent fighters remained, and Yuval was among them, very resourceful, physically fit and committed to the task …” His family made a name for himself in the club, in one of the IDF bases.
