Shahl, Ibrahim

Son of Mohsena and Husain. He was born on May 16, 1964 in Shfaram. Ibrahim grew up in a well-to-do family that instilled in its sons a good education and values ​​of honor, morality and credibility, in light of which he worked throughout his life. Ibrahim attended elementary school in Shfaram and continued his studies at Shfaram High School. He successfully graduated from elementary school with great help from his parents, brothers and sisters. During his studies he devoted all his holidays to helping his parents, but he did not finish high school because, due to financial difficulties, he helped to support the family. In his spare time, he engaged in sports. Ibrahim played football with the children of the neighborhood, riding the horses of the family and friends, and loved to go out on nature walks. He loved animals and raised birds and ornamental fish. Ibrahim had a technical sense, repaired watches and electronics, and devoted his time to volunteer activities in the community. Ibrahim was drafted into the IDF in mid-May 1982 and volunteered for the Infantry Corps, and after training he was assigned to the Minorities Unit as a lieutenant colonel. During his service he went through difficult periods – Operation Peace for the Galilee, operational occupations in Lebanon, the system line, employment in the territories, the Gaza Strip and Judea and Samaria, winter training and summer training. He is responsible, disciplined, dedicated, enterprising and persistent. … In 1988, he opened his own business in Shfaram, but after four years he was forced to close him because of his lack of profitability. Ibrahim married Aida and they had two children – Bassam Wassim – who planned to build his private home and prepared all the necessary materials for that purpose. On 12 September 1993, while in reserve duty, Ibrahim fell in battle in the Gaza Strip and was laid to rest at the Shfaram cemetery. He was twenty-nine years old when he fell. He left behind a wife, two children, a mother and eight brothers – Muhammad, Tawfiq, Shafiq, Yahya, and Fik, Salah, Nazia and Sajia, and four sisters: Ansaf, Anam, Salha and Akhlas.
