Shachori, Abraham
Son of Betty and Chaim. Avraham was born in Romania in 1929. He immigrated to Israel in 1947 as part of the illegal Youth Aliya, and joined the IDF in 1948 and fought in the War of Independence. During an operation to free prisoners in the Jerusalem area, Avraham was lightly wounded in the back. In 1950 Avraham joined the Israel Police. He served in the Jerusalem area, his hometown, in a variety of positions. Abraham took part in the Sinai Campaign and the Six-Day War. Sergeant Avraham fell during his service on November 25, 1969. He was forty years old when he fell. He was buried in the Givat Shaul cemetery in Jerusalem. He left a wife and three children.
