Shacham, Tzvi-David (Zvika)
Son of-Leah and Moshe Mermelstein was born on November 2, 1951, in Tel-Aviv, where he studied at the Beit Vegan High School in Jerusalem, where he moved to the IAF Technical School in Haifa. At the beginning of May 1970 and was stationed in the IAF. He completed a course in jet fighter mechanics, was the head of a maintenance team, and after completing an officers’ course and an air force officer course, was stationed as a maintenance officer in one of the corps bases. His commanders admired him very much and stated that he was “a very good maintenance officer” and that he was “doing his job very well.” On the 15th of Tevet 5715 (15.1.1985), Lieutenant Tzvi was killed during his service and brought to rest at the military cemetery in Upper Nazareth. After his fall, he was promoted to captain. He left a wife, two sons and a daughter, a mother, a brother and a sister. In his letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commanding officer spoke of his qualities and noted: “Zvi was an exemplary example of an officer and a professional, and was a model and a symbol in the field of human relations and command, always maintaining the correct balance between morale and pride. “He always knew how to maintain morale, especially during difficult times”
