Shabtai,Aryeh
Aryeh, son of Tzesia and Shmuel, was born on the 23rd of Adar 5703 (February 3, 1945) in Kibbutz Evron. Arieh was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early February 1963 and was assigned to the Ordnance Corps, where he was trained as an instructor in the armament school, After completing his compulsory army service, he volunteered to serve for one year in the regular army, and in August 1966 Aryeh was discharged from the army and assigned to a reserve unit of the Artillery Corps, where he served as an armament symbol. The Six-Day War, in the Central Command, after Shochar After graduating from the regular service, his former commander ordered him to serve as a counselor at the Amal vocational high school in Rehovot, and a year later went on to teach at the Max Payne High School in Tel Aviv, returning to the school where he studied as a teacher. He studied and studied at the Government Institute for Teacher Training, and was a diligent and meticulous teacher, meticulous in his accuracy and demanding from his students, but at the same time nurtured a friendly relationship with his students. He was so loved by his students that when he went to reserve duty they refused to continue their studies in the field of car electrical engineering. After returning from the service, they went to school with great energy, and made up the missing. Aryeh was accepted by the teaching staff as a person of great energy and suitable for all social and cultural activities. He created a good atmosphere around him and contributed to the advancement of the educational level and the level of school studies. During his free time, he wrote instructional books for teachers and students who worked in car maintenance. His tongue was clear and lucid, and his books served as an aid to both teachers and students. In August 1969, he married his girlfriend Chava and together established their home in Holon. In 1970 his eldest son Omri was born and in 1972 his daughter Adi was born, bearing the name of her grandmother, the mother of Aryeh who died before the birth of her granddaughter. Arie loved his home and devoted a great deal of time to his family. He designed the apartment’s structure and designed the furniture in it, and so he set up a warm home, where there was a warm and cordial atmosphere. His family, his fellow teachers and his students will always remember him as a teacher, leader, person and friend. During the Yom Kippur War, his unit participated in the battles of containment and infiltration against the Egyptians in the Sinai. On the 16th of Tishrei 5734 (October 16, 1973) Aryeh was hit and killed by enemy shelling of our forces in the central sector of the Suez Canal, he was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Holon and left behind a wife, son and daughter, father and brother.
