Shabtai, Baruch
Son of Shlomo and Lisa. Born in Bucharest in 1926, he completed his studies in a high school in his hometown and immigrated to Israel in 1946. Two years later, in February 1948, he was drafted into the IDF. Was a gymnastics instructor in the army and also established a committee to establish a club for culture and life in his camp. For several years he was an officer in the border police. Worked in the civil police as a first sergeant and finally joined the career army and reached the rank of lieutenant. On May 14, 1965, in the course of his duties, he fell and was brought to eternal rest in the Kfar Saba cemetery. He left a wife and three daughters.
