Seroussi, Shimon

Son of Avraham (Albert) and Esther. He was born on the 27th of Av 5739 (27.7.1939) in Alexandria of Egypt. He graduated from elementary school and high school in his hometown. Dreamed of immigrating to Israel and worked in all kinds of ways for her, even though he encountered many difficulties in the act. When he finally immigrated he studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He belonged to a Maccabi basketball team in Tel Aviv. He was drafted into the IDF in February 1959. He fell during his duty on the 19th of Sivan 5709 (25.6.1959) and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
