Seroussi, Jonah


Son of Masoud and Tafpah. He was born on June 10, 1947 in a cast in Tunisia. The family immigrated to Israel in 1955 and Yona began studying at the Avot Elementary School in Be’er Sheva. After graduating from school he continued his studies in a high school. He was drafted into the IDF in August 1965. He was a member of an operational company during the Six-Day War, but Yona did not manage to serve the full duty of duty on Sunday On March 21, 1968, he fell in retaliation against the Jordanian sabotage bases, known as Operation Karameh, the town east of the Jordan, from where the enemy saboteurs were deployed to Israel and brought to rest in the cemetery in Be’er Sheva. His name was published by the municipal high school in Be’er Sheva with the participation of his classmates.
