Seri, Hanan
Son of Frida and Haim, was born in Tel Aviv on the 2nd of Nissan, March 23, 1928. In the War of Independence he took part in Hagana activities on the front of the Hatikva neighborhood and in Tel Arish. Hanan was then transferred to Jerusalem and participated in many battles. In the defense of the Makor neighborhood, he went out at the head of a squad to ambush the enemy who was about to attack the neighborhood, he was wounded in the arm, but continued to chase the enemy and refused to leave the battlefield. Hanan was hit by another bullet and fell on the 21st of Sevat, February 1, 1948. He was buried on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, and his name was engraved on the monument erected in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in memory of those who perished in the Jewish Quarter and in memory of soldiers who fell in battle for Jerusalem.
