Semart (Posilov), Michal

Michal Semart, daughter of Esther and Binyamin Posilov, was born on August 21, 1968 in Tel Aviv. In May 1989 Michal completed her mandatory service and began her career in the IDF. She completed a basic officer’s course, completed a military service for intelligence officers and completed research officers in Modi’in and was appointed as a programming officer. In October 1991 she was appointed Operations Officer. In 1994, Michal married Daniel Smart. In 1996, Michal was appointed as a unit commander and three years later became the head of the computer department of the “Massuot” unit of the Intelligence Directorate. On 27.12.2000, Michal died suddenly of a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of thirty-two, and was buried in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, leaving behind a husband, parents, brother and sister.
