Selach, Chaim (Victor)


Son of Jonah and Rachel. Was born in 1937. He was a lively and Simcha child, and when he was young he studied at the Ferrer School in Cairo and wanted to complete his studies there, loved the country with all his Lev and soul, He wanted to enlist in the IDF at an early age and be a paratrooper, but his parents refused to give him their consent. He was drafted into the IDF in 1953. While in military service, he continued to study Hebrew and took a course in the Paratroopers Corps, receiving everything with love, even when he was wounded in the leg and was hospitalized without his parents’ knowledge, He took part in several activities (such as Gaza and Nitzana) and finally fell on Rosh Chodesh Adar, 5706 (February 13, 1956) while fulfilling his duties and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
