Segalowicz, Yosef (Yosl)
He was born in Karkur in 1924. After graduating from elementary school, he went to work in order to help support the family with many children, and he worked in agriculture and in the orchards of the moshava, and also specialized in carpentry and packing of citrus boxes He was a member of the Haganah and served as the commander of a class and was one of those responsible for the defense of the place, and when the war broke out he enlisted in the Nutras and served for several years in this role with exemplary devotion and loyalty in the various regions of the country. Instead of the family breadwinner and as the person responsible for the defense of the place, but a few days later he joined the ranks of the army (17.10.1948), a shell hit the outpost where he had fallen and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in the village of Warburg.
