Schwarzman, Isaac


Born in 1915 in the city of Volenture, Romania, he studied in elementary and high school and later worked as a locksmith and electrician, and immigrated to Israel at the beginning of the illegal immigration in 1939. After wandering and working in various places he joined the Nir Am group. At the beginning of the War of Independence, when his wife and three daughters were evacuated from the place with the rest of the children and mothers, he parted from them with the blessing of “Hezeko” “And” we shall still have days of rest. “While on guard duty in the excavation, during the first days of the Egyptian invasion, he was killed by a shell on the Iyar (19/05/1948). He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Nir Am.
