Schwartz, Zvi-Dov
Son of Moshe and Rachel Leah. He was born on February 7, 1929, in the city of Wachrushmany, Hungary. During the Second World War he was sent to the concentration camps and after his return he devoted himself to Torah study in Yeshivah in the city of Kashi. At the outbreak of the War of Independence in our country, when he was in the Czech Republic, he joined the Hagana unit of the Czech Aliyah and worked to help the Yishuv. He immigrated to Israel in 1949. That same year he was drafted into the IDF and during the course of his duty, on the 6th of Elul 5709 (August 30, 1949), he fell and was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the military cemetery in Safed.
