Schueller, Arie (Pali)
Was born on February 23, 1926, in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, where he completed elementary school and continued to attend high school until he was expelled because of the decrees against the Jews, his studies and the quiet life. Arieh joined the Haganah immigrants and arrived in Israel in July 1946. He worked in his profession as a plumber in Jerusalem and during the War of Independence he served in a Palmach battalion in the Harel Brigade. Aryeh participated in many battles around Jerusalem and was even wounded twice. He was brought to a hospital and recovered and returned to his base. He participated in the defense of the Radar camp when he was attacked by Legion forces and was conquered, and in this difficult battle fell on the 17th of Iyar 5708 (May 26, 1948). He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Anavim.
