Son of Esther and Meir. He was born in 1911 in the town of Danilowicz in the Galilee and Vilna. As a child he was active in Hashomer Hatzair and Hehalutz. He was loved and accepted by his fellow movement members and later discovered leadership skills. “David was a noble soul, from the first moment in the hachshara he was called ‘Abba’ because he took care of us all” After completing his training, he was drafted into the Polish army and in 1938, after completing his service, he immigrated to Eretz Israel and joined Kibbutz Ein Shemer, where he worked in the field, was connected to his work and was pleased with his life. During his free time he used to train the comrades in combat exercises and throwing grenades as he had learned in the Polish army. On 1 Elul, 28.8.1938, he was guarding the kibbutz dining room, where the weekly meeting took place, and at 8:00 pm a group of Arabs entered the farm and opened fire on the dining room. David was hit by a bullet and killed on the spot. He was buried in the cemetery in Ein Shemer.
