Schloss, Reuben


Son of Israel and Sarah. He was born in the city of Eizen, Germany, on March 6, 1938. He immigrated to Israel in 1938. In Germany, he managed to study in a high school and at a cost he attended a vocational school in Haifa in the “Aliyat Hanoar” group. He completed his studies as one of the first recruits to the British army and served in Africa and Italy as part of the Jewish Brigade and rose to the rank of First Sergeant, where he continued to study in the profession he acquired. : In May 1948 he was drafted into the IDF. He served in the Signal Corps and the Transportation Corps and attained the rank of lieutenant. Upon completion of his period of service he returned to work at the Electric Company. Continued for two years to study in his favorite profession until finally he was awarded a certificate of the British Institute for Radio Engineering. He was transferred to the wireless department at the electric company. He was called up for reserve duty and in October 1955 he was called again and stayed in the Ordnance Corps course. Two weeks later, on the 17th of Marcheshvan 5702 (2/11/1955), he died of a heart attack and was brought to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. After his death he was promoted to lieutenant. He left a wife and a child.
