Schipenbauer, Daniel

Son of Susannah and Yigal. Born in Uruguay on the 25th of
Adar, March 7, 1967. The family immigrated to Israel in 1973. After completing his studies, Daniel enlisted in the IDF and served as a pilot in the Israel Air Force, where he continued to serve as a lieutenant colonel in the IDF. Daniel fell in operational activity on July 26, 2010 when he participated in training in Romania as part of a cooperation between the two countries’ air forces. There was foggy weather in the Carpathian Mountains, in southwestern Romania, and all the crew members were killed in a crash. Daniel was forty-three years old. He was laid to rest in the military section of the cemetery in Gadot.
