Scherter, Moshe


Moshe, son of Frieda and Eliezer, was born on September 5, 1938 in Czechoslovakia and immigrated to Israel in 1964. Moshe was drafted into the IDF in mid-January 1967 and served as a soldier in the Artillery Corps, and was considered a devoted and disciplined soldier and was loved by his commanders and all the soldiers, who participated in the Six-Day War and fought in the central region. In the Yom Kippur War, Moshe was a liaison in a heavy mortar unit that fought in the Sinai on October 15, 1973. He was killed and killed in the shelling of his army, and was brought to eternal rest in the Mount Herzl cemetery, In Jerusalem, he left behind a wife and two sons – Yaron and Ariel, and parents – after being killed, he was promoted to corporal. Bereaved family wrote to his commander that Moses was an excellent soldier and an exemplary member.
