Schechter, Shalom Shmuel

The son of Matilda and Jacob. Shalom Shmuel was born in South Africa on June 17, 1910. He immigrated to Israel and settled with his family in Ramat Gan Shalom was an active member of the Haganah since 1929. He was active in SHAI, the Haganah’s information service. After the establishment of the state, Shalom joined the Israel Police. Shalom had a high education in law and law. He was also versed in astronomy. Shalom fell during his service in Umm al-Fahm on February 29, 1952. He was buried at the military cemetery in Nahalat Yitzhak, Tel Aviv, leaving a wife and three children.
