Schechter, Ofer

Son of Jeremiah and Bruria. He was born on 19.1.1937 in Rehovot and completed his studies at an elementary school in Tivon and later in a vocational school in Haifa, where he was a member of the Aerobatics Club and was active in it. On 26.11.1956 he fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. After the fall, a club for the IDF’s Air Force in Tivon was established in its name as “Beit Ofer” – with the participation of the local council and Gadna Air and with the assistance of the family.
