Scelli, Shimon


Son of Shalom and Rachel. Born on 25.9.1956 in Ashkelon, Shimon studied at the Moriah School in Ashkelon, where he studied at the Youth Center in Ashkelon, where he worked for about a year and a half as a shutter worker, and with Shimon was drafted into the IDF in early January 1975 and assigned to the infantry. His military career was a driver. Afterward Shimon was transferred to the General Air Force and was stationed at the headquarters of the Israel Defense Forces, during his military service, when Shimon’s brother, Yaakov, was killed while serving in the reserves. On December 2, 1976, Shimon fell during his service. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Ashkelon. Survived by his parents, two brothers and four sisters. His parents donated a Torah scroll to commemorate his memory and the memory of his brother, Jacob
