Sayid, Aryeh

Arieh, son of Rachel and Matana, was born on May 26, 1954 in Rishon Letzion. He completed his elementary studies at the Remez School in Rishon Letzion and later decided to continue studying in a vocational school and to acquire a profession so that he could always work and make a decent living. This is how he began to study the vocational training in a vocational school in Ashdod. At the same time, he began working as a metalworker in a workshop in Rishon Letzion, and thus financed his studies and his livelihood. He was a devoted son to his family and always helped his mother with the various housework. Although he studied in secular schools and used to socialize with secular youth, he was observant and made sure to pray daily in the synagogue and observe the commandments of the Torah. Aryeh was not the kind of boy who wasted their time. He did not roam the streets without taste and purpose, but preferred to devote his time to study and creative work. Arieh was drafted into the IDF in mid-May 1972 and assigned to the infantry brigade of the Golani Brigade. After completing his basic training he was sent to the training base of his brigade, where he served as a guide, and was a good soldier and fighter who was able to fulfill his role faithfully and thoroughly and was loved by his students, friends, and commanders.
