The teachers and friends of the institution recognized his good temperament and his virtuous qualities, with great kindness and love of people. He was loyal to his friends and ready for any social mission. He wanted very much to continue his studies in a vocational high school, but, as noted, because of the difficult situation in the family was obliged to take care of her. In January 1963 he was drafted into the IDF but was released prematurely because he supported his parents, but later was called to reserve duty and on the first day of the Six-Day War, he was killed on June 5, 1967. He fell near Sheikh Abdul Aziz, He fought for the liberation of Jerusalem and sacrificed all that was dear to him – his life – and he was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
