Ben Shoshana and Aaron. He was born on May 25, 1972 in Be’er Sheva. He began his elementary studies at the “Tzipori” elementary school in Bat Yam. After graduating from the first grade, he returned to Be’er Sheva and studied at the Rambam Elementary School, where he studied at the Air Force Technical School in Be’er Sheva, specializing in electronics and graduated with honors. At the end of February 1991, Yigal enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces and, as a direct follower of his high school studies, was assigned to the Barak Air Force and served in the IAF Squadron, where Yigal saw his future and progress in the army. In February 1994, he joined the ranks of the career army and continued to serve in the “Avionics Barak Squadron.” He received an impressive opinion from his commanders Who was greatly admired and noted his devotion to the job and his pleasant personality Yigal stood out in his proposals to streamline the system, which he received certificates of excellence in. During his service he completed various professional courses and successfully completed his studies, On June 28, 1995, he was involved in a car accident in Las Vegas, USA, during a private vacation, and was hospitalized for a month in Las Vegas and then transferred to another hospital in Los Angeles to prepare for a flight to Israel. On August 5, 1995, he was flown to Israel and was hospitalized at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, where he died of his wounds on August 27, 1995. Yigal was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva. He was twenty-three when he died. Survived by his parents, brother-in-law and sister Smadar. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant after his death. In his letter of condolence to the bereaved family, Chief of Staff Amnon Lipkin-Shahak wrote: “Yigal served as a technician and avionics commander in the air force, and was described by his commanders against Masor, who volunteered for every mission. “The commander of the squadron in which he served wrote to his family:” Yigal reached Hatzor base more than four years ago. His personal level, ability and dedication were a particularly striking personal example. As part of his position, Yigal served in a variety of positions in the unit, demonstrating professionalism, efficiency and loyalty. The death of Yigal, a model soldier and a true friend, shocked all of us and hit us all with a hard blow that will not soon be wiped out. “His family purchased a Torah scroll in his name that was put into a synagogue in Be’er Sheva.
