Sasson, Raphael

Raphael, son of Moshe and Miriam Sasson, was born on October 16, 1933 in Alexandria, Egypt. He attended the “Kol Israel Haverim” school there. After immigrating to Israel he joined Kibbutz Gat. He was drafted into the IDF in July 1951. He was wounded while carrying out his duties and died of his wounds on 3 Iyar, April 18, 1953. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
