Sasson, Osnat (Ossi)


Daughter of Esther and Amnon. Born in Bat Yam on 21.8.1969 as a daughter to her parents, she grew up in her hometown and studied at the Herzl elementary school, where she was dominant, prominent and active wherever she went, and her presence and the joy of life that characterized her were felt She was involved in various sports, fitness exercises, long jump and height, took part in competitions and won the first place, and continued her studies in the Sokolov Laor High School in Jaffa, where she was characterized by a rich and varied social life And a wide range of friends and acquaintances, sometimes the desire to break frames, spontaneity and nonconformity of a Sea led to clashes with the education system, but not distorted having completed their matriculation exams successfully. In mid-June 1988 was recruited Aussie compulsory military service. She served as an operator in the Signal Corps. During her service, she changed a number of bases, out of a desire to expand the social circle as much as possible, to meet new people and types and to experience everything the world offers. On the 17th of Adar 5749 (February 17, 1989) Aussie fell during her service in a road accident that took place at the Holon junction. She was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Holon. Survived by her parents and brother Erez. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, her commander wrote: “During the short time she was with us, we discovered her love of life, her willingness to lend a helping hand when needed … We learned to see her surrounded by friends, active and caring.”
