Saruf, Iman

Son of Elya and Samuach. Was born on July 2, 1982, in Isfiya, a village belonging to the Druze community in the village. A handsome boy, smiling and shy but energetic. Always on the move – at home and outside. Ayman grew up in Isfiya. He attended elementary school in the village and impressed his teachers with his wisdom and wisdom. He went on to the Ort Isfiya junior high school and was very fond of mathematics. He also liked and actively participated in sports lessons. He excelled mainly in soccer and running, but also a lot of swimming and playing basketball. The positive energies that filled their mother were expressed in his good relations with teachers and friends, as well as in studies. At the end of his studies he moved to Ort Ronson High School – a joint school for the two villages of Isfiya and Dalit al-Carmel – and completed his studies in the electrical track. “Their mother was a boy who loved the family, took care of the parents and the whole house,” the relatives say. When he reached the time of his induction in November 2000, he accepted his father’s request that he join the Border Police and continue the family tradition in which his older brother began. After completing his basic training, he was successfully trained as a combat soldier in the Border Police elite unit, and was assigned to serve in Hebron, in the Abu Sneineh neighborhood. Ayman loved his service and fulfilled his duties with dedication and loyalty. He was loved and accepted by his friends, was self-confident and courageous. His commander testified that he was “a fighter who carried out every mission in the best possible way, quietly, modestly and with full faith.” His friends said that he was “a quiet guy who aspired to advance in the military framework.” Ayman served in Hebron for nearly two years until he was injured in a road accident in his village. As a result of the accident he suffered severe pain in his hand. After he was rehabilitated, he was transferred to a memorial service for the fallen of the Border Police at Barkai Junction, near his home. He had served there for only one week, before his life was severed. On October 21, 2002, Ayman was killed in a terrorist attack at the Karkur junction, at the age of twenty. He boarded an Egged bus at route 841, at the station next to the monument to the fallen of the Border Police, on his way home. The bus reached the Karkur-Ein Shemer junction and stopped at the station towards Hadera. Around 4:20 PM a jeep loaded with dozens of kilograms of explosives clung to him and exploded. Fourteen people were killed and dozens wounded. Two women soldiers from the Border Police, who served with him at the monument, fell with their mother: Sergeant Liat Ben Ami and Sergeant Shani Eti Pesahov. Ayman was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Isfiya. He was accompanied by his parents and four brothers: Salman, Caesar, Sharuf and Maruf, who was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant, and his commander, In your characteristic silence, without much talk and nobility, you have done whatever you are assigned to do. For over a year you would have fought in the Hebron Border Police and fought under sniper fire. ” His friends in the company wrote to his family: “Their mother was a cheerful and courageous guy, a man who can not be forgotten … He will always be in our memory …” “You lost a highly motivated, From now to infinity we will remember their mother, the brother who loved them all and everyone loved him. ” Aiman’s father wrote to his memory: “You will always be in our memories / You were a pure soul / You were so brave / In a moment your ambitions faded. / And to my parents and friends / remain a hero forever and ever. “
