Sarov, David (“Eddie”)


Son of Shmuel (Camel) and Amelia (Paula). He was born on 14.12.1940 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. He immigrated to Israel with his family in 1949. He completed his first year of elementary school in Bulgaria, continuing his studies at Bialik Elementary School and at the Hatikva High School in Tel Aviv. David was recruited to the IDF in the middle of August 1960 and assigned to the Engineering Corps. After being wounded during training, David was transferred to the General Staff and sent to a quartermaster course. Later in his service, David was sent to additional courses – a course for noncommissioned noncommissioned officers, at the end of which he was appointed as a logistics depot. After completing his military service, David continued his academic studies and successfully completed his studies in Economics and Political Science at the University of Jerusalem. He worked at Discount Bank in Tel Aviv as an economist. On Wednesday, July 23, 1974, David died at the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, leaving behind his parents and brother.
