Ben Frieda and David. He was born on December 1, 1950 in England. In 1968 he completed his elementary and high school studies at Dulwich College in London, England. Paul excelled in various sports, including sailing, surfing, swordsmanship, rugby, skiing and especially tennis. He also participated in the Wimbledon Youth Tennis Championships. From 1969 Paul worked as a statistician in the British Labor Office. He did well in his work and for this he was awarded outstanding studies in mathematics at the university. In 1972 he graduated with honors from the University of Reading. In addition to his studies at the university, he was active in various circles, mainly in the Kano canoe and participated in the operation of detached youth. Upon his immigration to Israel in 1977, he lived and worked in Nehemiah and Ramat Yohanan. In 1980 he married Jonah and a year and a half later their son Daniel was born. Paul was drafted into the IDF in December 1981. He was stationed in the Infantry Corps and at the end of the basic training he was trained as a infantry fighter. After completing his regular service, he worked as a systems analyst and software consultant at the Ministry of Energy, at the Alkotec company and at the software company at the Rehovot Science Center. Paul was a talented man. In his spare time he was reading, writing, sculpting, designing various ideas and hiking. Paul fell on the eve of the Sabbath, on the 17th of Adar 5749 (17.2.1989), when he was active reserve duty and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. Survived by a woman – Yona, son of Daniel, parents, two sisters – Josephine and Mary and brother – Anthony. In his letter of condolence to the family, his commander wrote: “… in his role as a soldier, Paul tried to carry out his duties to the satisfaction of his commanders.”
