Sand, Yoav
The eldest son of Alexander and Yonat Sened, one of the founders of Kibbutz Revivim. He was born on July 6, 1952 in Kibbutz Revivim. Yoav attended elementary school in his kibbutz and graduated from the Givat Brenner High School. He was a member of the Kibbutzim Brigade. He loved music and played saxophone. Before he enlisted, he spent one year with his parents in the United States. Yoav joined the IDF in mid-February 1972, after returning from the United States, and despite his abilities and abilities, he was fit to serve as a paratroopers. He participated in various combat operations and even in raids into Lebanon. He also successfully completed a course for combat medics and was attached to the brigade’s medical unit. On the 24th of Nisan 5733 (24.4.1973), Sergeant Yoav fell during his service and was put to rest at the civil cemetery at Kibbutz Revivim. His commander wrote in a letter of condolence to the parents: “We met Yoav as a very nice guy, very fond of his teammates and commanders … Yoav was an intelligent soldier who was very intelligent and full of joy, Because he wanted to continue to serve with his friends, as a fighter in the veteran team – – and we appreciated his independent thought and adherence to his ideas “
