Yaakov ben Oridah and Zaki. was born on June 1, 1946 in Libya, and when he was four, he immigrated to Israel with his family, Yaakov was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early February 1964 and assigned to the Armored Corps, where he underwent a number of courses and was trained as a liaison and artillery officer in the Centurion tank, and he was a good and disciplined soldier and his commander said that from the beginning of his career in the battalion he had become fond of all his friends. He was an excellent craftsman and his clients were satisfied with his work, and he was called for periods of reserve duty and participated in the Six-Day War and returned from it full of experiences and impressions Three weeks before the outbreak of the war Yom Kippur married his girlfriend Rivka, but he managed to taste only a little On the 27th of Tishrei 5734 (23.10.1973), when the cease-fire came into force, Yaakov fell in the agricultural buffer zone west of the Suez Canal, and his tank was hit by a direct hit and he was killed.
