Samet, Jacob


Son of Yekutiel and Rachel. Born in Hungary on September 26, 1936. He immigrated to Israel in 1945. He belonged to the Bnei Akiva movement and had a few years of experience in the Talmud Torah in Bnei Brak, And he left his mark in his soul, continued his studies and even managed to finish his secular studies in the twelfth grade and prepare for the matriculation exams. Abundance of kindness and understanding, and always knew how to find his place in society and to delight his friends and friends with his humor. In this good mood, he continued to enlist in the IDF as part of the Nahal Brigade in January 1956. By force of his will, he was able to overcome a number of difficulties, thereby encouraging weaker ones and even helping them. He fell in the battle of Rafah in Sinai during the 27th of March 1957. He was buried at the Military Emergency Cemetery in Bari and on 28 October 5757 he was transferred to the eternal military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. His memory was mentioned in the Kislev-Tevet 5717 edition of “Zeraim” (in the Bnei Akiva newspaper in Israel)
