Saluszber, Yosef (Yossi)


Son of Kata and Kurt, was born on June 9, 1925, in the city of Konigsberg, Germany. In 1933, when he was eight years old, he immigrated to Israel with his parents, and here he studied, grew up and became an agriculturist. The family settled in Ramot Hashavim, where he studied at the Kfar Malal school, where he joined the settlement group of Hanoar Haoved, Alumot Betania, and went to Poriya to help his parents and expand his general education After four years he left the kibbutz and worked for the parents in their farm in Ramot Hashavim, and in February 1948, at the beginning of the War of Independence, he joined the Alexandroni Brigade and took part in the conquest of Arab Kfar Saba in the Latrun front. When he recovered from his wounds, he participated in the “Operation Dani” and in the difficult battle for her voice, and Joseph fell in battle on Bir Adas on the 9th of Av, 5708 (August 14, 1948). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya.
