Salomon, Yeshayahu
Yeshayahu, son of Meir and Dvora Salomon, was born in 1926, in Lipsch, Czechoslovakia. In 1946 he joined the “Hapoel Hamizrachi” movement and joined Kibbutz Shluhot, where he was a member of the Bnei Akiva youth movement. After the outbreak of the War of Independence, he was one of the first volunteers, participated in various battles, and at the end of his service returned to the kibbutz and worked as a builder. He fell in battle around the Red Sea on 1 Kislev, 5.11.1956, and was buried in the cemetery in Eilat. On 29.1.1958, he was transferred to eternal rest in the cemetery in his kibbutz, and his memory was included in the Kislev-Tevet 5717 issue of Ma’mudim (the religious kibbutz newsletter).
