Salner (Scagio), Ze’ev


Ezra ben of Meir and Hannah was born on the 21st of Heshvon, November 11, 1939 in Sulia-Butushan, Romania. In 1961 he immigrated to Israel. First in Tel Aviv, and then settled in Dimona. In mid-April 1962, Ze’ev was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the Ordnance Corps, and because of his older age he served only seven months of mandatory service, and at the end of November 1962 he was released and returned to Tel Aviv to build his home there. He was called up for reserve service in the Civil Defense Unit. On the 1st of Tishrei October 2, 1978), Ze’ev fell during his service and was buried at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, at 39 years old, leaving behind a wife and daughter, parents, two brothers and a sister.
